Multimedia quality assessment for headset with virtual reality
Majnuš, Robert ; Polák, Ladislav (referee) ; Kufa, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with creating multimedia content for virtual reality and designing a subjective test to evaluate these sequences. In the introductory theoretical part there is information about virtual and augmented reality and several types of virtual reality glasses that are available on the market today. The second chapter focuses on methods of quality measurement and evaluation. These are subjective and objective evaluation metrics. The following describes the different types of codecs that are found in most of the sequences on the Internet portals. Then there is a chapter on creating content for virtual reality. Especially panoramic, 3D and 360 ° videos and photos. In the practical part of this semester work is described by me the procedure of editing sequences for individual codecs and design and use of subjective method including evaluation.
On-line connection of virtual reality with the external data source
Klíč, Daniel ; Kroupa, Jiří (referee) ; Kovář, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with the online connection of virtual reality with the external data source and creation of the aplication in IDE Unity for HTC Vive hardware.
Game in Virtual Reality
Čeleďa, Jan ; Kapinus, Michal (referee) ; Najman, Pavel (advisor)
Headsets for virtual reality registered noticeable progress in the last few years in bothavailability for a wider audience and in innovation. New technologies are bringing in a lotof changes and upgrades in the manipulation of user perception with virtual worlds, higherquality image and better power supply. The goal of this work was the creation of an actiongame in virtual reality. It is a simulation of duck hunting with a double-barreled shotgun ina rural environment. During the development, we focused on authentic gun handling andoperation. The headset chosen for this was the HTC Vive. The application is created in afree engine named Unity and is coded in the C# language.
Pure tone audiometry
Maršálková, Leona ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
The presented master’s thesis deals with the acoustics, specifically with the selected characteristics of the sound. It focuses on the anatomy of the auditory system and its function. The work describes the testing approaches for an evaluation of the auditory organ function and introduces modern methods used for the hearing tests, especially pure tone audiometry. A part of the thesis is dedicated to a concept of an audiometer for pure tone audiometry, which is presented in a detailed block diagram along with a description of its working components. Included chapters describe the partial circuits of the audiometer supplemented by the calcuations of its individual elements. The concluding part of the thesis deals with the evaluation of the device’s functionality.
Helmet for Virtual and Augmented Reality
Buš, Ondřej ; Přinosil, Jiří (referee) ; Říha, Kamil (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the construction of a functional headset for multimedia content consumption. The acquired theoretical knowledge was used in the design and construction of the resulting headset. The theoretical knowledge was consolidated and extended by practical tests on currently available commercial AR/VR headset solutions. In the practical design, increased effort was made to keep the resulting solution as simple as possible. The components that were used in the work can be obtained relatively easily via the internet. With the help of advanced techniques, the thesis tries to optimize the visual experience. The most suitable parameters of the optical lenses are selected. The optical system is enhanced to provide an extended horizontal field of view. The thesis discusses the fabrication of the headset using the 3D printing method on a 3D printer. Subsequently, the individual parts are assembled into a single functional unit. The result of the thesis is a working prototype headset suitable for multimedia content consumption.
